Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in comparable ways. They can be "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (kept for a set period), and either set by us ("first-party") or by a third party.

2. Your consent and how to control cookies

YardLoop uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use any analytics, advertising or marketing cookies or trackers, so no tracking, no selling. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working (for example, staying signed in to your admin account).

3. Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)

These are needed for the site and your account to work, and under PECR are exempt from the consent requirement. Sign-in session (admin_session / owner_session, first-party): keeps an account holder signed in securely, for up to 30 days. Cookie choice (yl-cookie, browser local storage, first-party): remembers your cookie choice so we don't re-ask, for up to 12 months. Our security and anti-abuse protection (rate-limiting) works server-side and does not use cookies.

4. Third-party cookies

Some features rely on third parties who may set their own cookies. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which may set cookies for fraud prevention and to make payment work. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

5. More information

For more about cookies generally, see the ICO's guidance at ico.org.uk. Questions about this policy can be sent to admin@harris-equine.co.uk. For what personal data we collect and why, see our Privacy Notice.
